About The Position

Westfalia is looking to host an Accounting Intern to join our team for our Summer 2026 Internship Program! The Accounting Intern will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in core accounting functions and exposure to financial processes within a professional and manufacturing environment. Location Requirements: Must live within a 50-mile radius of Westfalia Technologies Inc Headquarters and within PA or MD.

Requirements

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and office equipment
Visual acuity to read financial documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens
Ability to lift and carry up to 10-15 pounds
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice review and data entry.
Prepare and enter journal entries into accounting systems.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Conduct research on financial data and assist in generating reports.
Assist with audits and compliance-related activities.
Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the finance team.
