Basic Job Functions:Nucor is seeking interns with a desire to learn, grow, and become valued contributors to the Accounting and Finance teams across the Nucor enterprise. This internship provides immersive finance experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically the steel industry. Interns will take part in ongoing divisional assignments that include hands-on exposure to financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting. They will also collaborate on group projects with interns from other divisions to help drive value across the organization. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to shadow experienced team members, gaining insight into how their work supports Nucor’s business operations and contributes to the profitability of a Fortune 150 company. The Nucor Finance internship program ensures interns receive a learning experience that fits their career goals. Nucor seeks finance students that have an entrepreneurial mindset, high level of ownership and a desire to lead outside of the finance department. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Must be working towards a four-year bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field with an expected graduation date no later than May 2028
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be able to provide reliable transportation for the duration of the internship
