Job Summary Assists Membership Accountant with filing and organizing files and contacting members as a courtesy who are no more than 30 days past due on their membership accounts. Incorporate the Village Standards: People, Places and Programs everyone/every time/everywhere Essential Functions Attract and Retain members by consistently providing excellent customer service Responsible for interacting with employees, members and guests in a manner aligned with the People, Places and Programs components of the Village Standards Add new information to file records, and create new files as necessary. Eliminate outdated or unnecessary materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and/or legal requirements only as instructed by Membership Accountant. Perform periodic inspections of materials or files in order to ensure correct placement, legibility, and proper condition. Place materials into storage receptacles, such as file cabinets, boxes, bins, or drawers, according to classification and identification information. Scan or read incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed. Sort or classify information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order. Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail. Make courtesy phone calls to members who are 30 days past due to remind them to submit payment. Maintain confidentiality regarding member information including their accounts, personal information, and any other potentially sensitive information as it pertains to the member.
