About The Position

Responsible for all financial and accounting related issues and reporting requirements for all areas under their direction. You will report to the Senior Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or 4 years related experience.
• Experience of all aspects of accounting and tax
• Work and talk with departments throughout the organization at all levels.
• Demonstrate in development and completion of projects.
• 8 years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct employees on specific tasks, ensuring requests are completed as reported.
• Review monthly and annual financial statements for Choctaw Nation entities for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current accounting pronouncements.
• Review year-end financial statements, supporting schedules and all reconciliations on the audit.
• Develop professional staff for the purpose of succession planning.
• Develop strategic planning based on best practices
• Identify and recommend performance measurements and financial analysis to inform Management about the financial results, stability, and issues on Choctaw Nation entities under their direction.
• Review legal and tax related requirements for all activities conducted by Choctaw Nation entities together with the Nation’s Legal Counsel.
• Prepare and deliver board level presentations and updates.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
