AWC is hiring a Accounting Clerk for a hybrid shift at our Corporate location in Tacoma WA. We pay weekly and the general pay for this position is $28-30 per hour. Purpose This position is responsible for accounting support to financial accountants and managers within the department.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with accounting software programs.
  • Data entry and 10-key skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong aptitude in logic, reasoning, problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work occasional overtime in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communications skills and customer service-oriented focus.
  • Good and regular attendance.
  • Ability to work in a variety of situations.
  • Positive demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Daily bank reconciliations for all entities
  • Initiate wire payments.
  • Vendor maintenance in accounting system.
  • Post cash deposits.
  • Research and resolve AP issues.
  • Research and resolve payment issues on customer accounts.
  • Backup for Accounts payable processor.
  • Complete special projects assigned by the Manager or Controller.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager or Controller.
