About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk to support the financial operations of our healthcare organization, with a specific focus on billing, collections, and cash posting . This role is essential to ensuring accurate revenue recognition, timely cash application, and overall financial integrity within the revenue cycle. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of healthcare billing practices is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles (GAAP) and revenue cycle functions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and reconcile financial data
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • preferably in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Sage Intacct is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Post daily cash receipts from third-party sources to the appropriate accounts
  • Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and assist with collection efforts to reduce aged balances
  • Monthly invoicing activities across several practices
  • Assist with the monthly close process, including revenue and cash reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with GAAP
  • Support/cross trained on accounts payable to cover when needed
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
