About The Position

This position will be Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm Welcome to Love's Our Accounts Payables department is looking for an Accounting clerk to help coordinate the absorption of invoices into the payables system by scanning, opening mail, and understanding the basic invoice workflows for each invoice type. Review invoices from vendors, understand the invoicing sections and information, and then ensure that information is properly input into the payables system.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 years of related experience.
• Experience in payables document processing.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Opening mail and distributing it to the appropriate party.
• Understanding the basic invoice workflows for each invoice type to ensure accuracy and invoices are properly sent to the correct processing channels for approval.
• Scan, validate and verify payables documentation moving into the payables system.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Validate invoice data that has been entered into the accounting system.
• Troubleshoot and work with direct supervisor to communicate issues and ask questions.
• Follow company policies and accounting best practices.
• All other duties assigned as needed.
