About The Position

A well-established restoration company in the Southern Kentucky and Northern Tennessee area is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk / Administrative Assistant . This position focuses primarily on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and data entry , along with general office administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Background in accounting principles (AP/AR, payroll), and/or Proven Accounting Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to learn new accounting and office software systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
  • Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • 1–3+ years of experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, or administrative roles preferred
  • Experience with accounts payable, receivable, or payroll strongly preferred
  • Experience with Proven Accounting Software preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Smiths Grove, KY prior to start
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and computer use
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
  • Perform accurate data entry of financial and customer information
  • Maintain and update client and vendor records
  • Reconcile invoices, payments, and account discrepancies
  • Generate and distribute reports, spreadsheets, and financial documents
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and correspondence
  • Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, copying, and document management
  • Support internal teams with documentation and record tracking
