About The Position
Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a leading cooperative that processes, sells, and transports soybeans, grains, and related products. We are proud to be one of the largest soybean processing cooperatives in the world. Our plants produce essential products such as animal feed, vegetable oil, and renewable fuels. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our Omaha office. In this critical role, you will support our soy processing group by managing key accounting tasks and working closely with our merchandisers. This role offers a pathway for professional growth, and depending on your experience, you may qualify for the Senior Accounting Associate position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree preferred).
- Prior accounting and clerical experience preferred (required for the Senior Associate level).
- Strong understanding of accounting practices, terminology, and mathematical principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products, experience with Oracle preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with a variety of stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
- Invoice daily loadouts and process payments for daily unloads.
- Collaborate with merchandisers to accurately and efficiently prepare payments and invoices.
- Reconcile daily activity and research/resolve discrepancies.
- Review and reconcile daily contracts from merchandisers and put out loading orders.
- Effectively communicate with management, co-workers, customers, and external business contacts.
- Provide ad hoc support and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Contribute to the team’s success by working closely with team members for improved processes and system enhancements.
