About The Position

The Accounting Clerk at DAVID SCOTT LEE will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting department. This position is responsible for supporting the finance team with daily accounting tasks, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Experience with accounting software and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Support the finance team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the accounting department as needed.
