About The Position

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT – HARTFORD, CT Join the Max Hospitality Team! Max Hospitality is a Restaurant Group that consists of fourteen unique venues and two catering locations in CT and MA. We embrace the influence of hospitality while creating a world class dining experience for our diners. This role will act as a direct support to the finance department; the candidate will have standard knowledge of accounting procedures while being introduced to additional finance and accounting measures. As a member of the accounting team, you will act as an expert handling day to day activities supporting the finance and accounting manager. Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting practices
• Prior experience with accounting programs (Intacct, Paytronix, Excel, Outlook & Toast)

Nice To Haves

• Previous accounting experience
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• Excellent computer skills; experience with accounting software
• Ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Review and post daily sales reports for all restaurant locations
• Bank reconciliations
• Handling cash sheets
• Posting of 3rd party delivery payments
• Data entry
• Annual 1099 tax form completion
• Food & Liquor licenses annual renewals
• Weekly payroll posting
• Month End Reporting
• Posting invoices for catering payments
• Printing of all AP checks for mailing
• Daily Cashouts
• Catering reconciliation following catered events
• Assist Accounting Manager and Finance Manager with month end needs
• Ad hoc projects
