About The Position

This position provides support to the Accounting and FP&A functions in a variety of areas including month-end close, fixed assets, financial analysis and reporting, variance analysis, among others. This role will work cross-functionally with other Finance Business Partners and Operations leaders to provide insights and analytics. This role requires strong accounting background, business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, from a four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting leadership roles and 5+ years in FP&A.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools: Advanced MS Excel, GP and other ERP software, Datarails, Adaptive, Vena and/or other FP&A tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and advance multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Able to utilize systems and data to effectively deliver actionable business insights.
  • Skilled in analyzing complex datasets, extracting actionable insights, and presenting findings in clear terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • M.B.A or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review the month close process and supports with the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Support with the third party audit process.
  • Prepares standard and adjusted Journal Entries and supports with monthly account reconciliations.
  • Support the VP of Accounting with specific projects as assigned.
  • Support development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
  • Track and analyze monthly spend vs. budget, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements in operating expenses.
  • Analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department’s progress toward goals and corrective actions.
  • Assisting with scenario planning and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Support in the creation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the Board of Directors, including variance to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
