About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Accounting Analyst As an Accounting Analyst , you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining accounting policies, fiscal controls, and financial reporting processes to safeguard the organization’s assets. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert in your area of accounting, provide guidance to department staff, and support or lead cross-functional initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys driving process improvements and ensuring compliance. This role will work a hybrid schedule requires three days in the office and two days from home plus ten work From anywhere days, in the U.S. only, provided annually. This is on top of vacation, holidays and personal days. The office offers a modern, collaborative environment with free parking and on-site full-service cafeteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of related accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to perform variance analysis and interpret KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide guidance to team members.
  • Experience with financial systems and auditing processes.
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate across functions.
  • Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate activities for the financial close cycle and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Analyze operating and financial data, perform variance analysis, and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Track and monitor KPIs, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Lead special accounting projects, including system analysis and testing.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on client and vendor contracts, accounting systems, and industry standards.
  • Support internal and external audits, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance.
  • Interpret and advise on contract terms and their impact on systems and outcomes.
  • Assist with special projects, new system implementations, leadership training, and process improvements.
