AvidXchange is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Analyst II to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our accounts receivable and revenue operations, with a strong focus on partner commissions and revenue recognition. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting foundation—particularly in ASC 606—along with the ability to work independently, take ownership of processes, and collaborate effectively across teams. What You Will Do Partner Commissions & Revenue Share Accounting: Calculate, accrue, and report partner commissions and revenue share. Prepare partner statements, process payouts, credit memos, and refunds, and ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms. Month-End Close & Financial Analysis: Prepare journal entries and accruals to support month-end close activities. Perform variance analysis on key revenue and expense accounts and communicate drivers and insights to stakeholders. Partner & Stakeholder Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for partner inquiries related to billing, commissions, and revenue share payments, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Billing, Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and Accounting leadership to support new partner contracts, partner health metrics, and forecasting and budgeting efforts. Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across accounting workflows. Accounting Ownership: Apply strong accounting judgment related to revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and commissions while managing priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
