About The Position

The Accounting Administrator plays a key role in supporting the finance team through the accurate and efficient management of accounts payable and receivable functions. This position requires a detail-oriented, experienced accounting professional who is comfortable handling high volumes of transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring data accuracy across accounting systems. The role also supports data integrity initiatives that serve both accounting and operational departments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Accounting Assistant roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets, formulas, and reconciliations.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment cycles.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and compliance requirements.
  • Experience cleaning, validating, and preparing data for ERP or accounting system uploads.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of financial data with accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Independently process high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely, accurate payments and proper coding.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation; research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Support accounts receivable processes, including posting payments and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting support.
  • Maintain accurate, organized accounting records in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Clean, validate, and prepare financial and operational data for upload into accounting and ERP systems.
  • Identify data inconsistencies or errors, investigate root causes, and implement corrections.
  • Perform regular data audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and system integrity.
  • Support cross-functional data needs related to accounting and operational systems.
  • Perform general accounting administration, including filing, scanning, and document retention.
  • Assist with special projects, system cleanups, and ad hoc reporting as requested by the finance team.
