About The Position

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role, maintaining accurate accounting records & reconciliations and financial/management reporting. You will have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day accounting operations within area of responsibility (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger), contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is a Hybrid opportunity located in Richmond, VA.

Requirements

You have an accounting or finance degree, with relevant experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting / financial reporting experience.
Knowledge of standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures.
Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
Attention to detail.
Strong time-management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
Highest level of integrity and trust.
Dedication to excellent customer service.
Ability to work independently and effectively in order to meet deadlines and goals.
Team player.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and cost allocations.
Participate in month-end close and review of financial results.
Prepare and analyze the periodic reporting for Alfa Laval Inc and other subsidiaries.
Collect additional information necessary for the statutory closing reporting.
Prepare account reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries or reports.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Provide ad hoc financial reports, analysis and projects as requested.
Support other team members in day-to-day processes.
Document and update standard operating procedures for all owned processes.
Identify potential process improvements.
Be responsible for data warehouse maintenance.
Assist with auditor requests.
