We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant supporting our LPSD Drivetrain product team’s strategic footprint decision making. Drivetrain products are an integral part of Caterpillar machines being assembled and sourced across the globe. What You Will Do: In this role, you provide critical support to our NSI teams, which require frequent business partnering with team members outside of business resources including engineering, procurement and operations. You’ll be responsible for developing critical business insights and advising management on critical business decisions related to footprint changes. Specifically, this role will utilize the discounted cash flow to facilitate strategic decision-making and communicate recommendations to leadership. This role will also support Enterprise Component Strategy reporting and manage investment requirements related to footprint projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis, ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities, making effective judgment as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in EPC and cost reporting tools
  • Proven history of business partnering
  • Experience with DCF and complex financial analysis

Responsibilities

  • Complete enterprise discounted cash flow analysis in standards with our Corporate guidelines for Drivetrain footprint projects
  • Present and communicate footprint results to Drivetrain leadership and business partners
  • Lead investment forecasting and reporting related to footprint and localization projects
  • Support product cost reporting, identify cost opportunities and support cost initiatives
