About The Position

Shodair is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable handling complex financial data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare or nonprofit accounting
• CPA license (or progress toward certification)

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting functions
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as federal and state regulations
• Supporting cross-functional tasks such as payroll, A/P, A/R, and supply ordering
