About The Position

The Accountant will manage core Accounts Payable functions, ensuring the smooth processing of checks and payments for approved invoices from various sources. This role involves recording and tracking incoming funds, investigating billing discrepancies, and reviewing employee expense reports. The Accountant will perform regular bank account reconciliations, oversee company credit card activity, and maintain job cost schedules for assigned projects. Additionally, preparing and distributing financial statements, processing payroll, and ensuring deadlines are met are key responsibilities.

Requirements

Proficiency in Accounting and Reconciliation.
Experience with Sage and Excel.
Strong billing management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
5+ years of experience in accounting.
Experience with Sage software.

Responsibilities

Manage core Accounts Payable functions, including preparing checks and issuing payments for approved invoices.
Record and track incoming funds, including check deposits and wire transfers.
Investigate billing discrepancies and work with appropriate parties to resolve issues promptly.
Review, process, and reconcile employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
Perform regular bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Oversee company credit card activity and prepare monthly summaries of charges.
Maintain and update job cost schedules for assigned projects.
Prepare and distribute financial statements and standard accounting reports.
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure all accounting and financial deadlines are consistently met.
Maintain workflow continuity by tracking tasks through completion and ensuring accountability.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet business requirements.
