About The Position

The Accountant position supports divisional personnel with transaction-related questions, performs daily maintenance of transactions within their GL area of responsibility, and assists in inventories to determine asset existence. They will work with divisions to account for transactions and support departmental reporting requests. This role also supports the month-end close process through monthly standard account reconciliations and standard journal entries for basic cash accounts, general ledger accounts (fixed assets), and basic transactional activity.

Responsibilities

• Support divisional personnel in questions related to transactions as requested.
• Perform daily maintenance of the transactions within the position's GL area of responsibility.
• Assist in inventories to determine asset existence and work with divisions as necessary to account for transactions within areas of responsibility with assistance from manager.
• Support departmental reporting requests and other duties as assigned.
• Support the month end close process through monthly standard account reconciliations and standard journal entries related to area of responsibility.
• Handle basic cash accounts and general ledger accounts (fixed assets) and basic transactional activity.
