About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to support full-cycle accounting operations during and after an ERP implementation. This role involves taking ownership of day-to-day accounting activities, assisting with month-end close, and providing backup oversight for AR/AP functions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles, is proficient in Excel, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits, credits, and general ledger activity.
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows.
Proficiency in Excel, especially in updating spreadsheets and using pivot tables.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of accounting experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing industry is a strong plus.
ERP system exposure, such as Sage or NetSuite, is helpful but not required.
Experience supporting system implementations or transitions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform and support full-cycle accounting activities.
Manage and execute month-end close processes.
Prepare and support financial statements.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Provide backup coverage for AR and AP functions.
Review postings for accuracy and proper classification.
Serve as an escalation point for transactional questions.
Assist with data validation, cleanup, and migration activities during ERP implementation.
Compare legacy system outputs with new ERP results.
Validate transaction posting logic and reporting accuracy.
Support testing and parallel runs as needed.
Utilize Excel-based templates for reporting and close.
Update and maintain existing spreadsheets and pivot tables.
Extract and validate system data for financial reporting.
