Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of Public Accounting and / or Private Industry accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, cost accounting and financial reporting required.
  • Superior attention to detail. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working collaboratively across departmental functions at plants, corporate and affiliates.
  • Proficiency with JD Edwards ERP system preferable.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; advanced experience with Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to handle responsibility, work independently, and maintain good working relationships.
  • Must be able to make decisions and solve problems that are general in nature.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a team player attitude and be able to function in a team environment.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, accept new responsibilities and achieve results.
  • Self-starter with desire to learn and grow within the accounting and finance teams.
  • Big picture person who can take over a position and make it their own.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with JD Edwards ERP system preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Key participant in month-end closing process and submission of results into Aalberts’ consolidation reporting in accordance with strict closing schedule.
  • Timely preparation and review of monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Analyze the P&L expenses to prepare for the month-end review meetings.
  • Key participant with the internal and external audit request schedules throughout the year.
  • Provide financial data as needed for compliance, including Federal and State tax reporting, property, sales/use, payroll and other local taxes, benefit administration, insurance reports and other data required by regulation.
  • Manage special projects as they arise.
  • Improve and optimize internal processes, such as bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and maintenance of fixed asset software, capital project spend tracking, and certain balance sheet account specific reconciliations.
  • Participate in implementation of new ERP system project.
  • Reconcile and contact with US and foreign entities within the Aalberts group.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by your manager.
