About The Position

We are seeking an Accountant who will maintain general ledger accounts, provide record of assets, liabilities, prepare profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements, and maintain receipts and disbursement reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – demonstrated ability to meet job requirements through comparable experience will be considered
3+ years relevant accounting experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or operational environment - preferred
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Ability to analyze moderately complex accounting issues and resolve discrepancies
Solid understanding of internal controls and standardized accounting practices
Knowledge of LTL freight and associated technologies - preferred

Nice To Haves

3+ years relevant accounting experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or operational environment - preferred
Knowledge of LTL freight and associated technologies - preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and key balance sheet accounts
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies related to revenues, expenditures, assets, liabilities, accruals, inventory, payroll, and intercompany accounts
Review billing, freight, and shipment invoices to ensure compliance with contracts – resolve discrepancies with internal and external partners
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records in accordance with company policy
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, business units, and external stakeholders
Participate in maintaining and enhancing financial administrative functions to ensure reliability, performance, and alignment with location needs and providing support for freight activities including validating and billing charges
Other duties as assigned
