About The Position

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Accountant to support our accounting and finance team on-site in our Boonville, Indiana office. This position is ideal for someone who wants to be a part of a team on core financial functions, including reconciliations, reporting, and transaction processing. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial data and helping us meet internal and external reporting requirements.

Requirements

Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Strong Excel skills and attention to numerical detail.
Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.
Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
5-8 years of accounting experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Business Central/Dynamics 365 and/or Quickbooks Online preferred.

Responsibilities

Record day-to-day financial transactions including posting entries to the general ledger.
Reconcile accounts including sales tax, payroll tax, 401k, and bank statements.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes for various divisions.
Monitor financial activity and help identify variances or discrepancies.
Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Maintain accurate records by verifying, allocating, and reconciling transactions.
Analyze department and division data for cost accounting projects.
Support internal and external audits and perform data verification and analysis as needed.
Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Business Central-Dynamics 365, or similar tools.
