Position Description The Accountant or Senior Accountant, Treasury plays a key role in supporting Applied Medical's cash management and financial operations. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing cash-related reports, processing electronic payments, and ensuring accurate accounting for Treasury activities across daily, monthly, and quarterly cycles. The Accountant or Senior Accountant, Treasury partners with banking institutions, internal accounting teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to support financial planning, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance. This position is available at the Accountant and Senior Accountant levels, with placement determined by experience and qualifications. Professionals with backgrounds in general accounting, treasury operations, cash management, or corporate finance will find this role a strong fit.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in general accounting, with treasury, cash management, or corporate finance experience preferred for the Accountant level; five or more years of directly relevant experience for the Senior Accountant level.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF, with the ability to build and maintain financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Experience with SAP and online banking platforms for payment processing and account management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate financial information clearly.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with treasury management systems or cash forecasting tools.
  • Familiarity with hedging instruments, debt accounting, or credit facility compliance reporting.
  • Exposure to internal controls frameworks and audit preparation in a corporate accounting environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or active progress toward CPA licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash reporting and electronic payment processing through online banking platforms, serving as a key contributor to the Treasury team's day-to-day operations.
  • Prepare journal entries for cash, debt, and hedging transactions to support accurate and timely month-end close activities.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations related to cash, debt, and hedging instruments, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all Treasury accounts.
  • Develop and maintain audit schedules for internal and external audits, supporting compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete banking documentation for new account openings, updates to existing accounts, and changes to authorized signers.
  • Prepare weekly cash forecasts and analyze variances to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial planning activities related to bank fees, interest income, and interest expense.
  • Contribute to quarterly compliance certificate reporting and collaborate with banking partners and internal teams to fulfill periodic reporting obligations tied to credit facilities.
  • Partner with accounting team members to identify process improvement opportunities and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across Treasury workflows.
