Sunoco LP is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Retail Operational Accounting team in Dallas, TX. We perform end-to-end accounting and analysis for all service areas for gas, food and auto services along New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Requirements

• Sound understanding of accounting practices and principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in use of Excel
• Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods
• General Ledger experience including manual journal entries and problem solving using t-accounts.
• The Senior Accountant level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PDI, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, or Robotic Process Automation tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform daily review of store activity. Work with store managers to address inventory, credit card, fuel sales and merchandise sales issues.
• Record daily and monthly journal entries to ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Prepare account reconciliations and explain reconciling items.
• Perform trend analysis on various P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Proactively identify improvements in areas like tasks completion and availability.
• Creatively use Excel techniques to develop working templates for process enhancements.
