We are seeking a Manufacturing Accountant with strong cost accounting experience to support financial visibility, operational efficiency, and strategic decision‑making across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys digging into data, understanding how products are made, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort working with manufacturing cost structures.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across plant, office, and leadership teams.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience with cost accounting, product costing, or manufacturing estimating.
  • ERP system experience and comfort working in a data‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular cost analysis to determine the actual cost of manufactured goods and services.
  • Prepare and present cost reports, variance analyses, and operational dashboards to support management decisions.
  • Maintain and update standard costs for material, labor, and overhead; monitor standard cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and transaction accuracy within the ERP system.
  • Support and participate in annual physical inventory counts.
  • Execute proper cost allocation methods across departments and projects.
  • Partner with production, procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather cost‑related data and provide financial insights.
  • Support project accounting, including cost capture and revenue recognition using the percentage‑of‑completion method.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on cost efficiency, process enhancement, and automation.
  • Provide documentation and explanations to support internal and external financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and financial controls.
