About The Position

The Accountant III position involves performing various accounting tasks, including reconciling reports, managing asset profiles, analyzing depreciation, and auditing interunit transfers. The role also encompasses reviewing and reconciling closed construction projects, assessing building components, and ensuring accuracy across multiple systems. Additionally, the Accountant III will review building inventory, identify new additions or removals, and contribute to continuous process improvement by analyzing current processes, recommending solutions, and supporting implementation. Special projects as assigned by department leadership are also part of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area
Four years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

Reconcile reports and resolve discrepancies
Review Asset profiles for updates
Analyze depreciation balances & useful lives
Audit interunit transfers for acquisition details accuracy
Review & reconcile closed construction projects
Assess building components for appropriate addition or removal of costs & assets
Reconcile construction projects across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
Reconcile cash balances on closed projects
Collaborate frequently with partners from other core offices and departments
Review current building inventory against multiple systems to ensure alignment
Identify new building additions or removal
Proactively analyze current processes, recommend solutions to leadership, update websites & documentation, and support implementation
Other duties as assigned by the department leadership
