This position will be responsible for performing various accounting functions
including, but not limited to, Intercompany Settlements, Lease Accounting,
Journal Entry preparation, Invoice Processing, Contribution Settlements, and the
corresponding monthly reconciliations. The Accountant II will also be expected
to cultivate collaborative relationships with peers within Finance, Local
Marketing, Central Services, and Operations. This individual will utilize strong
verbal and written communication as well as project leadership skills to drive a
culture of change among Finance and our many partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in Excel at an intermediate or higher level.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, detail-orientated and the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral).
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to establish productive relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to exercise judgment, handle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent problem solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Timeshare/Hospitality industry a plus.
• Public Accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and oversee monthly reconciliations, perform research and/or assist other team members on researching complex ledger accounts to minimize risk and protect company assets and document the findings for management.
• Create and record journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and with respective supporting documentation with an understanding of the financial statement impact.
• Perform comprehensive research and analysis. Use financial & accounting acumen to analyze and interpret data.
• Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required. (i.e. Collecting requirements for Finance technology projects, recommending efficiency opportunities, managing the delivery of project requirements.)
