Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or Business from a four-year college or university.
  • 2 plus year experience in Real Estate management industry
  • Ability to drive additional projects to completion.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills, and writing skills required.
  • Able to multi-task and achieve high-quality results under tight deadlines and changing work priorities.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Computer literate; proficient with productivity software including MS Office, SharePoint, and Google Docs.

Nice To Haves

  • Entrata (accounting and property management software) and project management skills a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the entry and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
  • When necessary, train the staff to correctly process and manage accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R) and other accounting procedures.
  • Reconcile operating, security deposit, and petty cash bank accounts.
  • Prepare reoccurring financial statements and distribute as required.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Assist in the establishment, maintenance, and coordination of accounting and control procedures.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Performs analysis work in accordance with company procedures.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Assist with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  • Participate in projects with support from supervisor
  • Complete tasks/ assignments on time, produce quality works independently
