Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:
• Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software
• Knowledge of: standard accounting methods and procedures
• Knowledge of: spreadsheet and word processing software applications, financial accounting and reporting standards and processes, corporate tax functions and preparation of returns, economic forecasting/modeling and corporate budget functions
• Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas
• Skills in: communication/interpersonal
• Ability to: perform various accounting activities
• Ability to: research and compose reports and correspondence applicable to position
• Ability to: read and interpret governmental regulations, accounting/tax publications, auditors’ requests, company correspondence, accounting software manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents
• Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instruction
• Ability to: interact and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Prepare various journal entries, records, regulatory reports, and budget information
• Performs accounting functions related to customer accounting and accounts receivable reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of tax returns and supporting tax calculations
• Verify and/or perform calculations including, but not limited to: Ratios Percentages and discounts Depreciation Allocations Account charges Financial ratios
• Utilize applicable micro and/or mainframe applications to assist with preparation and/or verification of information including, but not limited to: Forecasted versus actual expenses Governmental/regulatory reports Financial reports Quarterly income statements Corporate tax returns
• Provide information and assistance to auditors, governmental/regulatory staff, managers, employees, customers, and others concerning accounting activities
