About The Position

The Accountant I performs difficult and responsible accounting and auditing work; prepares reports to meet administrative and contractual need; performs related work as required.

Requirements

• Completion of a four-year degree in Accounting or 2 years of work experience in fiscal record keeping and accounting activities
• Intermediate level usage of Excel, online payment and Microsoft GP
• Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Fluent in other languages are an asset

Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing and preparing invoices for payment
• Assists in preparing complex and important accounting, auditing, and financial reports, documents and statements
• Prepares invoices for various kinds of grants and follow- up receipts
• Assists in the preparation of annual budget proposal
• Performs bank reconciliation
• Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor
