Job Summary: Support the accounting team by performing routine accounting functions and assisting with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This role is ideal for a beginner accountant looking to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and compliance. Responsibilities: Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and lease accounting. Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Close – Journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis. Monthly Sales & Use Tax calculations and remittance Manual intercompany invoicing and credits Various other accounting and finance tasks as necessary Safety: Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5Sstandards, perform job functions in a safe manner, wear all PPE required by Company Policy where required, know & follow established job specific and facility wide safety & health procedures and rules, participate in safety and health training & demonstrate competency based on training received, and bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, or safety suggestions to attention of management or correct those you can. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related business field Preferred Education and Experience Experience in manufacturing environment 0-2 Years of accounting experience preferred Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams & Outlook Basic Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP Experience with ERP systems such as Baan, Infor, SAP, Oracle a plus Strong Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively Behavioral Competencies: Effective Communication Problem-solving Collaboration Adaptability Time Management Work Environment: Normal office environment.
