About The Position

Accountant 1 Medical Devices Company Duration : 3 Months Total Hours/week : 40.00 1st Shift Client: Medical Device Company Job Category: Accounting/Finance Level of Experience: Entry Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders Only) Accountant 1 Work days/hours: M - F day shift Virtual role - HOWEVER, needs to have a scanner and must be local to San Antonio. One project requires scanning certificates in the San Antonio office Roles & Responsibilities Pull and request exemption certificates as needed (as per specific state requirements) Maintaining customer exemption certificates Maintaining tax automation software to ensure compliance accuracy Transaction tax audit defense Preparing and supporting transaction tax refund claims Assisting with various projects as assigned Experience Required Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. SAP and Vertex experience are a plus. Skills & Certifications Ability to utilize critical thinking/analytical skills to solve complex tax issues. Organizational skills to be timely and keep files complete and organized. Communicate professionally. Able to multi-task and prioritize work. Pivot on assignments as necessary due to deadlines. Eligibilities & qualifications High School diploma required. Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. SAP and Vertex experience are a plus.
