The Senior Accountant I is responsible for performing month-end close journal entries, reconciliations and analytics, assisting with preparation of financial statements and reports for the US and Foreign entities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position reports to the Managing Accountant. You will have an opportunity to serve as a key contributor to the corporate accounting team and strengthen your understanding of both operational and technical accounting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or relevant corporate accounting experience in large or high-growth companies.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter who is highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage competing priorities and adapt to change and uncertainty.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with virtual teams.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and accounting software (i.e. Oracle ERP) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures and prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Analyze actual results and provide variance analysis.
  • Prepare and review month-end close journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytics over significant account balances.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Assist with annual audits, tax schedules, and special projects as needed.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies/procedures.
  • Explores the modification and implementation of changes in key systems and procedures.
  • Research complex questions, investigate their impact, and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Work on infrastructure development projects in Oracle, Salesforce, and other systems.
