About The Position

This role is based in our NYC office. Weekly work schedule is up to 3 weekdays in-office. Qualified current metro-NYC area public relations applicants are preferred. We are seeking a social media professional to join our health communications practice, supporting clients across the pharmaceutical, MedTech, health advocacy, and broader health ecosystem. Ideal candidates will have experience creating social media content across platforms, partnering with account teams and clients to create strategic campaigns and have prior public relations agency experience, preferably working on communications campaigns for health clients, though experience in other regulated or complex industries is also valued. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism or related field
  • PR agency experience (at least 5 - 7 years)
  • Passion for public relations and the healthcare industry
  • Experience working with traditional and social media strategies and campaigns
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with team to execute successful media relations programs

  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communications skills both oral and written (including editing skills)
  • Experience using all Microsoft Office products
  • Solid grasp of basic media monitoring tools (Cision, Vocus, etc.)
  • Understanding of the public relations industry and its basic principles

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day social media activities and deliverables (e.g., content calendars, paid campaigns, metrics reports, etc.).
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with the client and external agency partners.
  • Build engagements and relationships with influential voices.
  • Analyze content performance and distill data into actionable insights that will inform future strategies.
  • Maintain quality control access across evolving social media deliverables and ensure that client requests are remembered and pulled through across projects.
  • Assist in the management of account administration duties such as paid campaign and billing and financial reporting.
  • Mentor junior employees interested in the specialty.
