Job Description: This job is responsible for working with clients on pre charge off and post charge off collections needs, up to and including repossession assignments. Key responsibilities include managing more complex account relationships with an emphasis on legal matters, resolving client complaints, and leading team members. Job expectations include applying knowledge across all stages of delinquency, including recovery and repossession and work in environments requiring advanced problem solving, negotiations, and coaching capabilities. Account Specialists have advanced experience with multiple products across all stages of delinquency, including recovery and repossession. They conduct special research and other project assignments. Key accountabilities and responsibilities are similar to the Sr. Collector II but are more advanced and complex in nature. This role manages more complex account relationships with an emphasis on financial analysis and credit action and legal matters. The specialist manages a portfolio of special assets, or portfolios usually consisting of less complex relationships, both secured and unsecured, and business loan losses. The specialist serves as a liaison to administrative areas within the bank and administers wire transfers, payments, deposits, advances, short sales, settlements, etc. Ensures document compliance and security perfection as well as collateral monitoring/maintenance. Implements procedures to meet production deadlines, successfully executes service level agreements, manages relationships within the internal department and with business partners. They understand regulatory and compliance requirements that apply to Collections and are able to work within these guidelines. The role works in the Collections and Recovery Operations environment and will handle Consumer Vehicle Lending (CVL) loans identified as possible 1st or 3rd party fraud. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Placing accounts in protective maintenance Following strict service level (SLA) and regulatory requirements throughout the process Completing and documenting investigative conversations with borrowers; victims; law enforcement; legal and bank representatives Meeting timelines governed by federal regulations while completing timely and accurate follow-ups. Partnering closely with regional dealer personnel. Working to recover collateral through repossession processes. Managing process efficiencies and identify risks.
