About The Position

Under the direction of the Consumer Account Manager, researches and resolves all member inquiries associated with deposit type accounts, check orders, safe deposit boxes, levies and garnishments, verifications of deposit, quality control, and savings bonds. Provides support to MSRs and Tellers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 1-3 years required and general understanding of the financial institution.
  • Organized, ability to multi-task, detail oriented and member focused
  • Good communication skills
  • Handle fast paced environment and good judgement
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook Email /Calendar and Internet Explorer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Episys Loans PQ (Xpress), With Clutch and Synergy BAC software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the “member benefit-based approach”.
  • Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and OFAC Policies.
  • Researches and resolves member inquiries or resolutions associated with deposit-type accounts. Provides written confirmation to members upon competition. When applicable, sends notification to merchants regarding resolution.
  • Reviews all redeemed savings bond transactions to ensure accurate member tax reporting.
  • Provides support to member services representatives with check ordering platform.
  • Monitors all credit union returned/held checking orders with check processor and follow-ups with branch.
  • Monitors safe deposit box reports and reports exceptions to appropriate branch MSR. Provides support and trouble shoots safe deposit box related issues.
  • Receives all tax levies, reclamations, and garnishments and checks validity of request. Takes appropriate action and responds to prevent monetary loss to the credit union.
  • Confirms that new checking and savings accounts have appropriate signatures and imaged membership applications on document storage databases. Maintains a list of outstanding documents and follows up with the appropriate branch. Requires frequent follow-up communications with all member service representatives.
  • Reports any quality control issues to the department supervisor.
  • Retrieves statements and check copies from microfiche reader or check imaging database.
  • Monitors a variety of file maintenance reports to ensure that accounts continue to meet our guidelines.
  • Responsible for resolving all referred online membership applications, assisting members with online account opening, and supporting MSRs with Xpress Accounts and WithClutch.
  • May be assigned other tasks by appropriate line supervision.
