The Composites Team, a part of Pratt & Whitney’s Global Supply Chain, is looking for an Account Specialist (AS) in support of the Composites Value Stream to manage composite suppliers and requires outstanding problem-solving skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share and multiple suppliers. As an Account Specialist your main responsibility will be to ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. You will be the main point of contact for the suppliers you manage, and you will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement. The position will report to the Supply Chain Manager for value assist and suppliers escalation. Procurement of Composites material to support all major engine programs at Pratt & Whitney Supplier management of on-time delivery, leading indicator metrics, and capacity ramp plans Ability to build positive relationships with supplier, internal and external stakeholders, and lead cross functional coordination between Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Production Readiness, Industrial, Programs, Engineering, MCL, ESA, and multiple suppliers Strong project management skills to ensure successful execution of tactical plans and product transitions Strong communication skills, specifically conversational, email, telephone, and occasional presentations Holding the suppliers and Pratt & Whitney team members equally accountable to meet the milestone plan committed to the customer Conduct Standard Product Purchasing, including order placement, coordinating demand and scheduling, supplier relationship management and delivery assurance Comply with all aspects of the Pratt & Whitney Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW)

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Business, Supply Chain or related field and 2 years of Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Business or related experience.
  • Working knowledge in SAP / MS Office
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
