About The Position

The Account Representative is responsible for the service, renewal and retention of a n assigned book of business in the small group eligible market . This role provid es a broad spectrum of internal support to the Existing Business Account Executives , as well as performing day - to - day administrative functions, which support Health New England’s clients, brokers and internal customers. The Account Representative contribute s to the overall success of the Sales Department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives . The Account Representative is responsible for maintaining and adhering to internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and following Health New England’s entity level policies and procedures. The position is responsible for reporting unethical or fraudulent activity related to business operations and adhering to Health New England’s Code of Conduct . Thrives in a high - performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment Contributes to a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage Health New England’s relationships, systems and knowledge Responsible for account renewals in the regulated market in the following ways: Meet or exceed goals for account retention and growth in the small group market Recommend HNE plans and/or riders to best meet client's needs Ensure that all HNE accounts receive a high level of service Provide resolution of group issues through research and recommendations Cultivate and sustain professional broker and employer relationships Promote , manage and attend employer group benefit presentations and other in-person meetings as needed Keep abreast of insurance regulations and mandates on the local, state and Federal level Provide internal support to the Existing Business Account Executives Respond to employer and broker inquiries for all assigned accounts Own renewal process, reporting requests , and sales events/open enrollments as needed on all assigned accounts Responsible for materials fulfillment requests Handle all materials requests with internal and external vendors such as pre-enrollment materials S ummary of B enefits C overage (SBC) , E xplanation of Coverage (E OC ) etc. Provide Team and Company Support Represent the Sales department in workgroups and committee

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or Marketing and more than 2 years’ experience in sales or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Health Insurance background
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Computer skills: MS Suite, Salesforce
  • Team player
  • Massachusetts Life & Health Producers license (or ability to be licensed)
  • Associates Degree (Required)
