About The Position

Our Opportunity GPJ is looking for an Account Operations Director to join our growing team! This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to our Austin, Boston, Smyrna, NY or Detroit office location a minimum of 2 days per week. Your Role In your role, you take charge of the operational aspects of delivering client programs, including financial and operational performance. Here's how you contribute: Operational Management: You manage the day-to-day operational aspects of our client programs, focusing on their financial and operational performance. You ensure that our solution development, estimating, budgeting, event production, and event delivery run smoothly and efficiently. Account Collaboration: You collaborate closely with our account leadership to meet company standards, emphasizing account margins, client satisfaction, and account growth. Process Adherence and Risk Communication: You make sure all our operational processes and standards at GPJ are followed meticulously. You communicate any program risks promptly to operational, financial, and account leadership teams. If you encounter known issues or substantial risks, you escalate them as necessary to ensure they're addressed effectively. Compliance and Governance: You also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with GPJ and client contract requirements, as well as policy governance. This ensures that our operations are aligned with our agreements and uphold the expected standards of quality and integrity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry related experience.
  • Ability to understand on-site methodology and practices, as well as show and venue rules and regulations.
  • Travel estimated about 15%
  • Ability to work irregular hours as needed for our programs
  • Math Skills. Has accounting or finance background.
  • Computer savvy.
  • Organized.

Nice To Haves

  • GSuite and previous experience with JDE or Deltek or similar tools preferred
  • You communicate well with personnel at all levels within the organization.
  • Able to shift work and priorities as needed.
  • You are free to travel and will work irregular hours for your clients as required.

Responsibilities

  • Review & Approve project/program budgets in collaboration with account teams: Budgets Scope Documents Proposals As Sold Documents Work Orders Sub-Budget Categories: i.e. Service / Fabrication Specific Change Orders
  • Ensure account and project team compliance with GPJ Processes:
  • Ensure Procedures are followed for receiving signed SOW and PO’s prior to commencing work on behalf of the client
  • Ensure team utilizes functionality in Project Management Software i.e. staffing grids entered and 3rd party budgets entered
  • Review design concepts and ensure feasibility, deliverables and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with client contract requirements
  • Ensure projects set-up with accurate rate card
  • Ensure correct Job Type/Step set-up for assigned resources
  • Policy governance
  • Overseeing the best practices for security and data privacy – Ensuring the proper protocols are followed based on the contract details
