About The Position

The Account Manager is the main point of contact for clients and coordinates, manages, and communicates client expectations and deliverables to the operations team.  This includes overseeing all jobs and projects while providing quality control, reporting, and billing information as required. Account Managers will also support the Business Development team with all aspects of the data management contract and bid process.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or related experience
  • At least two (2) years' experience working in the E&P industry
  • Knowledge of E&P Data Management requirements and expectations
  • At least one (1) year working in client-facing role or related experience
  • Demonstrates the ability to make well-informed decisions based on thorough analysis and available information.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively across teams. Willing to share and receive information, fostering a strong culture of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Maintains accuracy and completeness in all tasks, takes ownership of work, and ensures follow-up on deliverables.
  • Resolves issues and challenges proactively, taking personal responsibility for performance and meeting commitments.
  • Exhibits proficiency in both oral and written communication, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools for complex tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication with clients by providing project updates, delivering demos and training, addressing requests promptly, and scheduling/attending meetings as needed.
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day workload for assigned clients to ensure all obligations and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain client contracts and profiles and collaborate with internal teams to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are clearly understood and consistently adhered to.
  • Develop project plans and Statements of Work (SOWs), collaborating with business development to prepare proposals and commercial quotes for large-scale projects. Partner with department leads to effectively schedule internal resources.
  • Prepare monthly internal and external reports, including account status updates, project progress, and contract/price list expiration tracking.
  • Coordinate and quality-check all client billing to ensure pricing aligns with contractual agreements and all invoicing is completed accurately by month-end.
  • Provide data-related support, including occasional data loading, quality control to meet client requirements, resolving data issues, and updating client metadata.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within assigned accounts and collaborate with the business development team to close deals.
