About The Position

The Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for contractor clients and is responsible for client satisfaction. Ensures our clients are adequately protected against unique commercial exposures and collaborates with carriers to deliver tailored insurance solutions. This role is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. The individual in this role builds relationships with clients to encourage ongoing business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s or associate degree preferred
  • Experience: 3+ years of commercial insurance account management, preferably with contractor or construction clients.
  • Licensure: Current P&C insurance license, or willingness and ability to obtain within 45 days of employment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to successfully interact with a variety of client personality types at all levels within an organization.
  • Proven track record of successful client advocacy in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing attention to detail.
  • Stay organized and reprioritize tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and a desire to problem solve.
  • Aspire to be independently resourceful, but not afraid to ask questions within our supportive team environment.
  • Ability to follow up on activities from start to finish.
  • Utilize time management skills with the ability to remain focused on deadlines.
  • Understand insurance documents to administer policies in different systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and other software, systems, and programs, with the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Detail-Oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on the client’s account.
  • Review all projects and materials to be presented to the client to ensure quality standards and expectations are met.
  • Take ownership of the client accounts that are assigned to you.
  • Works closely with the team to maintain a continuous knowledge of client accounts to identify potential issues and/or opportunities.
  • Ensures that all processes and procedures (policy issuances, changes, expirations, audits, monthly reports, and cancellations) are completed and quality standards are met.
  • Aware and pursue opportunities for account growth and new business, involving the risk advisors and other key support members.
  • Provide regular two-way communication between the client and teams to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Understand company capabilities and services and effectively communicate all offerings to the client.
