About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining, nurturing, and expanding PEG, LLC’s relationships with active clients across all service lines including Building Science, Energy Modeling, MEP Engineering, Green Building Certifications, Risk Management, Empirical Solutions, and Utility Program Management. In this role, you will ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by overseeing new client onboarding, confirming alignment with contracted services, and proactively identifying opportunities for expanded engagement. Serving as a trusted liaison between clients and PEG’s technical and operations teams, the Account Manager ensures smooth project delivery, proactive communication, and adherence to PEG’s quality standards. Your work directly impacts client retention, operational excellence, and PEG’s reputation as an industry leader by delivering a seamless and value-driven experience across every stage of the client lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in account management, client services, or project coordination, ideally within construction, engineering, energy efficiency, or building performance industries.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate technical concepts related to building science, energy modeling, green building certifications, and MEP engineering (or willingness to learn).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, and project management tools.
  • Professional, polished, and reliable.
  • Collaborative team-oriented mindset with the ability to bridge technical and customer-facing teams.
  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and satisfaction assessments.
  • Ensure PEG’s services remain aligned with each client’s evolving program, project, and operational needs.
  • Lead onboarding processes for new clients to establish clear expectations for contracted services, deliverables, timelines, and communication procedures.
  • Coordinate internal kickoff meetings with Operations, Engineering, Building Science, and Program Teams to ensure alignment.
  • Educate clients on PEG workflows, tools, expectations, and reporting structures.
  • Monitor the early stages of service delivery to ensure adherence and seamless handoff to operational teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand contracted services, cross-sell additional PEG offerings, or introduce ancillary services.
  • Continuously explore new service opportunities within client organizations and across client categories.
  • Support the Business Development Department Manager with strategic account planning and growth initiatives.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and pricing for service expansions or new engagements.
  • Track market and client-specific trends to position PEG proactively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure commitments are fulfilled.
  • Address and resolve service-related concerns or performance issues.
  • Manage transitions from client onboarding to steady-state operations.
  • Maintain accurate account documentation, meeting notes, contact information, and service records.
  • Provide regular updates to the Business Development Department Manager.
  • Track performance metrics, client engagement, and contract compliance.
  • Support forecasting, revenue tracking, and pipeline development.
  • Proactively manage client issues to prevent service disruptions.
  • Uphold PEG’s commitment to excellence through responsive communication.
  • Solicit client feedback and support continuous improvement.
  • Support contract renewals by demonstrating ongoing value.
