NextLevel Thinking is seeking an Account Manager to join our dynamic, client-focused, close-knit team of thinkers! Our next team member will be a collaborative self-starter who wants to flex their client management and marketing skills on an account basis. This is a hybrid position , meaning most daily work activities will be done remotely; however, in-person attendance will be required for some activities. Position Summary: The Account Manager is a strategic leader at NextLevel Thinking, serving as the vital bridge between our clients' business objectives and the comprehensive growth strategies we develop. This role is designed for a highly accountable self-starter who thrives in a hybrid environment, balancing autonomous remote work with the leadership required for high-stakes client strategy sessions. Success in this position requires the ability to build sophisticated professional relationships and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the "NextLevel" methodology, ensuring every marketing initiative is rooted in a deep, strategic understanding of the client's unique market position.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strategic Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing or social media, with a proven track record in an account lead role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level use of WordPress, Email Marketing Platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or HubSpot), Social Media Scheduling Tools (Social Pilot, Hootsuite, Later, or SocialBee), and Project Management Software (Monday.com, Asana, or Wrike).
  • Process Execution: Demonstrated ability to execute complex work plans and manage multi-channel editorial calendars that synchronize brand messaging.
  • Analytical Capabilities: Experience in conducting data analysis for social media, website performance, and email marketing to identify growth opportunities and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional technical writing skills and sophisticated client service abilities required for leading high-stakes strategic meetings.
  • Professionalism: A highly accountable self-starter with the persistence and creativity to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous, and close-knit team environment.
  • Hybrid Readiness: Fully equipped for remote work with the requirement to attend in-person client activities in the Houston area regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Master the client's business model to serve as First or Second Chair, ensuring all strategies align with their goals more deeply than at typical marketing firms.
  • Support the deep-dive research process through brand audits, competitor analysis, and customer perception studies to define the client's unique market position.
  • Participate in the transition from research to roadmap by merging marketing strategy with creative thinking to develop strategic messaging and growth plans.
  • Own the implementation of strategic growth plans, while facilitating monthly marketing meetings and updates, ensuring all marketing projects and business development initiatives are delivered on schedule.
  • Author and synchronize written content for news blogs, email, and social media to ensure all brand messaging aligns with the overarching strategic plan.
  • Coordinate with virtual creative and technical teams to maintain consistent brand messaging and strategic alignment across all digital touchpoints.
  • Execute strategic email campaigns that reinforce the overarching brand strategy and drive engagement with key strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee social media scheduling and monitoring to ensure all content acts as a cohesive extension of the client's strategic growth plan.
