About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic, inquisitive, and growth-driven Account Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding Safeguard Global’s footprint within our existing client base. As a trusted partner, you will develop a deep understanding of each client’s business priorities, uncover whitespace opportunities, and position our solutions as critical to their long-term global workforce strategy. You will lead full-cycle expansion initiatives, drive consolidation away from competitors, and work cross-functionally to deliver scalable, outcome-focused growth. This is a high-visibility, revenue-impacting role for a tenacious, consultative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about shaping the future of client relationships. Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience in sales, account management, or consulting where you’ve been measured on both qualitative and quantitative performance metrics
  • Proven track record selling multiple solutions and expanding relationships within midsize accounts.
  • Experience negotiating and closing expansion opportunities within existing client base.
  • Strong project management capability and comfort managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • A confident negotiator, strong communicator and influencer, liaising with C-Level Executives.
  • Consultative approach with the ability to define expansion opportunities and map them to meaningful commercial outcomes.
  • Sharp stakeholder management skills and experience building long-term executive relationships.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing account plans.
  • Ability to identify and execute upsell/cross-sell strategies and expand account penetration.
  • Proven success running outbound campaigns across calls, email, and LinkedIn with personalized outreach.
  • Tenacious, competitive, proactive, and driven to win.
  • Professional, transparent, timely, and highly responsive.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, knowing what to say, how to say it, and when.
  • Naturally curious, eager to learn, and passionate about delivering client value.

Nice To Haves

  • You have demonstrated experience in, and proficient working knowledge of, contingent workforce trends and Employer of Record (EOR) or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) models.
  • Training or certification in a revenue methodology (MEDDICC, Insights Revenue, Challenger, SPIN, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Client Growth Advisor
  • Stay informed on each client’s business priorities, workforce expansion plans, and market challenges.
  • Position Safeguard as a proactive, strategic partner supporting long-term workforce goals.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Safeguard’s full solution suite.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of differentiators and competitive positioning.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on product capabilities, processes, and global employment best practices.
  • Drive Growth Through Expansion
  • Identify opportunities to expand into new countries, add services (EOR, Managed Services, Recruiting), and increase headcount under Safeguard.
  • Uncover where clients leverage competitors or local in-country providers.
  • Present compelling ROI-focused business cases that highlight efficiency, compliance, cost optimization, and scalability.
  • Position Safeguard as the centralized partner capable of streamlining global workforce management.
  • Conduct outbound outreach to existing clients to uncover new needs and generate expansion pipeline.
  • Use tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to analyze client behavior and develop new growth opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle for upsell and cross-sell motions from discovery to negotiation to close.
  • Account Planning & Growth Strategy
  • Create and maintain comprehensive account plans for each assigned client.
  • Analyze product usage, unmet needs, competitive gaps, and industry benchmarks to uncover whitespace.
  • Map stakeholder ecosystems across HR, Finance, Procurement, and Executive leadership.
  • Build multi-threaded relationships that elevate Safeguard’s influence within client organizations.
  • Develop execution roadmaps with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Execute opportunities using the Safeguard Way: strong discovery, aligned solutioning, disciplined follow-through, and consultative value articulation.
  • Forecasting & Growth Discipline
  • Maintain accurate, real-time pipeline and opportunity data in Salesforce.
  • Deliver reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts.
  • Track and report whitespace coverage, expansion activity, and service-line growth.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
  • Partner closely with Customer Success to align on account health, adoption, and client objectives.
  • Integrate expansion plays into account plans and QBRs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across Legal, Product, Finance, and Operations to support solution design and deal execution.
