About The Position

Milpower Source, Inc. is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of power conversion and rugged networking solutions for the defense and aerospace markets. We work closely with the industry’s leading OEMs, integrators, and subsystem developers, including Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and L3Harris, among others. Our products include DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters, solid state power distribution devices, generator controllers, VPX form factor solutions, and shipboard battery backup solutions (UPS). Our networking solutions include rugged ethernet switches (1G,10G,100G), routers, media converters, terminal servers, and USB hubs. Milpower Source is looking for an Account Manager to support, develop, and grow strategic accounts. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, self-starter that possesses the ability to connect with customers to understand their technical needs. We are looking for someone who is high energy, curious, and willing to learn technical products. This hybrid "farmer" and "hunter role is designed for a professional who can blend strategic account management with a deep understanding of technical solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving top-line growth by identifying and winning new business opportunities within strategic accounts. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement innovative sales strategies tailored to customer needs and foster long-term strategic partnerships. Sales Team members reside in the NH office and remote locations throughout the US. Job Description: The Account Manager will help develop and implement the territory’s sales strategy and action plan to help achieve the company’s desired annual bookings and revenue objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with demonstrated account management or other relevant experience.
  • Technical degree preferred
  • Ability to effectively and credibly communicate, present, and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • 1-3 years B2B selling experience in electronic manufacturing or an equivalent field.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Program management
  • Deep understanding of question-based sales theory
  • Candidate must be able to travel up to 50% and live near a major airport
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with key decision makers in pre-defined accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Develop a business plan for areas of responsibilities that include goals, objectives, and strategies that ensure attainment of goals related to the job function.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Quickly understand key opportunity details and consult with team members to define a capture strategy
  • Present and demonstrate the capabilities and benefits of our solutions, tailoring presentations to specific customer needs and program requirements
  • Access, understand and develop long lasting customer relationships
  • Clear communication regarding the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with high priority requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Manage any quoting/proposal effort to ensure it is complete and finished in a timely basis.
  • Partner with the Inside Sales Specialists to ensure on time delivery of quotations, specifications, and other requests of the customer
  • Maintains an accurate and updated log of all programs, opportunities, personnel, and customers/end-users within the CRM.
  • Manage any quoting/proposal effort to ensure it is complete and finished in a timely basis.
