About The Position

Reporting to the Director of US Operations, the Account Manager oversees the client relationship and delivers outstanding service to multiple business contacts for one of GHY’s top clients. This role ensures account setup, databases, and information flow are structured to support timely and compliant entry processing. The Account Manager is critical to maintaining the customer “wow” factor while providing hands-on operational support across multiple transaction types and modes of transportation.

Requirements

  • Ability to represent GHY with professionalism and build strong client and team relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to make informed decisions and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills paired with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven leadership and team-building experience that fosters collaboration and accountability
  • In-depth knowledge of US Customs regulations, HTS classification, PGA requirements, and FTA claims
  • Skilled in customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office, with openness to leveraging emerging technologies like AI
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Designation
  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on leadership focused on driving a culture of excitement and accountability with an emphasis on timely release, compliance, and client intimacy
  • Shape release strategies that align with client expectations and regulatory standards
  • Oversee account setup to support timely and compliant import/export processing
  • Lead and support Trade Specialists, ensuring coverage and operational continuity
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, CBP, and PGAs, building strong relationships
  • Collaborate with other leadership to deliver seamless service
  • Attend and lead Major Account Relationship Program (MARP) meetings with clients, which may require travel to client offices
  • Provide hands-on support with entry filing, audits, reporting, issue resolution, and database management
  • Partner with the US Trainer to identify and implement training plans
  • Stay current on customs regulations and apply and communicate updates effectively
