About The Position

Founded in 1879, Nott Company is a leading and respected supplier of fluid power products and systems, industrial products and assemblies, and custom fabricator of flexible materials to original equipment manufacturers. We are looking for an Account Manager to oversee one of our largest customer accounts in the Twin Cities, MN. What you'll be doing:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years business to business outside sales experience.
  • Effective negotiating, selling and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Ability to travel overnight ~30% of the time, or as required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and increase profitable sales with assigned accounts consistent with Company goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify, develop, and expand sales to assigned key accounts, their affiliates, and divisions.
  • Close sales and process orders through Customer Service using established Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead and coordinate the presentation of Company strategies, programs, proposals, and quotations to generate sales; follow Company policies and supplier guidelines for pricing decisions included in proposals; implement price increases and make effective use of Company resources including people and time.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Nott Company services and products, markets, and customer applications to maximize our ability to satisfy customer needs.
  • Provide customer feedback to Manager regarding our level and quality of service.
  • Monitor and assist in the resolution of disputes and returns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain customer records, activity reports, Nott Company Opportunity Tracker, pricing schedules and other business records as directed.
  • Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement, especially those that lead to maximizing direct customer contact time.
