About The Position

We're looking for an Account Manager who is a self-starter and possesses excellent communication skills, as well as a passion for the cannabis industry. You will need to be highly goal-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets. You will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will report directly to the Sales Manager and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies. The ideal candidate will be able to travel up to 80% of the work week and have reliable transportation. This person should be based in or around Chicago, as that is where the bulk of accounts will be.

Requirements

  • You have 2+ years of experience in cannabis sales, B2B sales a plus
  • You have a strong driving record and can pass periotic DMV & insurance checks
  • You have reliable transportation and the ability to travel up to 80% of the work week
  • You have cultivated strong negotiation and communication skills
  • You stay organized and have a tried-and-true method to follow up and stay on top of customers
  • You are goal-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets
  • You have experience using a CRM system to manage sales activity and pipeline
  • You demonstrate integrity and respect in all interactions, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • You strive for the highest standards in every aspect of your role.
  • You can adapt to and drive change with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

  • Travel within your territory to drive net new, reoccurring, and expansion sales for Grön’s four product lines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing wholesale clients
  • Generate new business through prospecting and lead generation
  • Conduct product demonstrations and consultations to potential clients
  • Utilize a consultant-based selling approach to understand client needs and offer customized solutions
  • Manage a sales pipeline and regularly provide updates to the Market Manager
  • Work closely with the Market Manager to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales efforts and create innovative solutions
  • Accurately record and track sales activity in our CRM system, Repsly
